We are now living in Mombasa. In a village called Mtwapa about 40 minutes from Mombasa city center we have hired a home . The children have moved in July with the staff and volunteers. From all the comments I heard the children are very happy and the staff as well. The volunteers are enjoying the beach and warm climate.  At the moment we have quite a number of volunteers because of the summer holidays in Holland but we have arranged well. This means however that there is not a lot to do for all the volunteers and they can spend a lot of free time with the children and on their own. From september it will be quiet again and we will accommodate about 4 volunteers.

The house in in the area of Kenya Marine land. it is about 10 minutes from Melrose Place by local bus ) matatu . The children will resume their school after the summer holidays in september.

Melrose Place is also full. There are 4 volunteers hosted, one couple and 2 friends. Melrose Place is having 2 bedrooms. One spacious one and one small one and can host 4 visitors if they are related to each other by 2. ( like 2 couples of one couple and 2 friends ) if we have only 4 volunteers the bungalow will be rented out to volunteers who want to spend their free time or holiday for longer time and to tourist paying only 20 euro per person including 3 meals.

We now are settled in Mombasa, but the real work has to start now. We need our own home, our own plot and house. There are so many children out there in an urgent need and cry for help. We need help. Financial help to buy a plot and to build a house. If you have any suggestion to assist us to fullfill our dream;
